Preservation of Woof products
At Woof, we make our products by hand, without artificial preservatives.
Like any natural pastry product, they require basic care to be stored properly at home.
Below we explain how to do it depending on the type of product.
🫙 Jarred Products
These products need to breathe .
👉 It’s best to store them with the jar open.

- Store in a cool, dry place, away from moisture and direct sunlight.
- Leave the jar open (without the lid) or with the lid resting on it without closing it.
- Ventilate daily if stored in a closed cabinet.
- Do not freeze or thaw the product inside the jar.
🔒 Vacuum-packed products
- Store closed in a cool, dry place.
- Once opened, always remove the product from the packaging .
- Store in a breathable container.
- Do not reseal after opening.
🎀 Products in decorative bags
(organza, velvet, presentation bags: fondant candies, little crowns, etc.)
- Decorative bags are not storage containers .
- Always remove the product from the bag.
- Store in an open or breathable container.
- Avoid humidity and sudden temperature changes.
- Do not store in the refrigerator inside the bag.
🧁 Pastry products
(pupcakes, roscones, polvorones, mantecados, marzipan, chocolates, brownies, etc.)
- Always remove the product from its presentation packaging
(boxes, rice paper, decorative paper, bags, etc.). - Never store in the original packaging.
Good practices:
- In the refrigerator: store in an open container.
- In freezer: freeze in a suitable freezer container.
- To defrost: remove from the container and let it air out.
- Do not defrost in sealed containers.
- Do not store in the refrigerator inside boxes or wrappers.
Just like any artisanal pastry product.
🌾 Products for rabbits
Remove from decorative packaging upon receipt.
Baked hay products should be stored in a cool, dry place, outside of the refrigerator.
Humidity and condensation can damage them even if the product is completely dry.
⚠️ Important
Improper storage can spoil a product that is in perfect condition when it leaves the workshop.
